I went out to buy postcards named '喪中はがき(mochu hagaki).
My grand mother died this year... We send Mochu-Hagaki insted of New Year's card when someone in our family has died. Mochu-Hagaki is a kind of Japanese culture to express mourning the passing of someone.
Does your country have such culture?
